White Rock – heritage feasibility study and development plan

White Rock Feasibility StudyWhite Rock – heritage feasibility study and development plan

Client: Friends of White Rock
White Rock Industrial Heritage Park is adjacent to the River Tawi in Swansea and includes the Grade II listed River Dock, Smith’s Canal Tunnel (thought to be the first cut and cover tunnel in the world) and the historic White Rock Copper Works which is a Scheduled Monument.

The heritage feasibility study and development plan focussed on identifying opportunities to improve access and enhance the visitor offer at White Rock Industrial Heritage Park.  Working as sub-consultants to Buttress Architects Planning Solutions Consulting’s work focussed on carrying out a site review to identify key constraints and opportunities and an analysis of the marketplace. Together with the work completed by the project team a themed development action plan for White Rock Industrial Heritage Park was prepared.
