What do we do?
We carry out market assessments, option appraisals and feasibility studies, we prepare business plans, development strategies, audience development plans / activity plans and funding applications for tourism, leisure, recreation and regeneration projects. We focus on visitor attraction, museums and heritage (including Heritage Lottery Fund projects), country park, environmental, tourist accommodation and commercial leisure related projects. We work with a wide range of clients in the UK, other European countries and the Middle East including regional development agencies, commercial leisure operators, local authorities, national bodies and charities. Clients include the Forestry Commission, Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Hampshire County Council, Sunderland City Council, Cumbria Tourism, Tourism Partnership North Wales and the Bristol Port Company. What makes us different?
Our sister company Planning Solutions Limited (PSL), established in 1995, operates a number of tourism businesses. These include CONKERS £16 million day visitor attraction in the National Forest, the former Bass Museum in Burton upon Trent, which they reopened as the National Brewery Centre, a Super-Tubing experience in Ebbw Vale, a Harry Ramsden’s franchise in Brighton and a café in the Peckham Pulse Healthy Living Centre. PSL also run Onboard TV an onscreen advertising service on Wightlink Ferries sailing between the Isle of Wight and the mainland.

Our history
Planning Solutions can trace its history back to the Rank Group, where we were the former Rank Holidays and Hotels Developments division and were responsible for developing the Oasis Forest Holidays product which was subsequently acquired by Center Parcs.
