Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium – market assessment

Wonderseekers is an independent educational charity, which manages one of the UK’s leading science centres. Their mission is to “Create a more equitable world where all children can treasure science and are equipped and empowered to improve lives and protect and heal our planet.”

We were commissioned by Wonderseekers to carry out a market assessment of the Winchester Science Centre. Our work focussed on understanding the baseline position of the science centre including visitor trends. This was coupled with a detailed analysis of the market place including the residential population living within specific drivetime catchments, the visitor attractions sector, passing traffic (given the close proximity of the M3) and the public’s growing interest in the environment.
