Visitor management plan Ruislip Lido

Ruislip Lido is a well-established leisure facility In Hillingdon which has a long history of providing an attractive lake, woodland and ‘park’ areas with the wider site extending to more than 700 acres in total which comprise Ruislip Woods NNR. The Lido was adapted from a reservoir to a leisure site in the 1930s.

Planning Solutions Consulting Limited was commissioned to prepare a visitor management plan for Ruislip Lido. Our work focussed on carrying out an assessment of the baseline position to fully understand the current operation of the site, including visitor flows alongside the key issues and challenges. This was coupled with a review of case examples and an assessment of the marketplace to help inform the development of a visitor management plan alongside identifying opportunities to enhance the visitor experience.
