National Nature Reserve Visitor Experience PlanLincolnshire Coronation Coast National Nature Reserve visitor experience planning

Client: Natural England
Newly created in August 2023, Lincolnshire Coronation Coast National Nature Reserve (LCCNNR) is the first new NNR declared as part of the King’s Series, which marks the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. LCCNNR was formed through the merger and extension of two existing NNRs – Donna Nook National Nature Reserve (managed by the Ministry of Defence working with Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust) and Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes National Nature Reserve (managed by Natural England working with Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust). Tetney Marshes (RSPB) and Cleethorpe Nature Reserve are other sites within the NNR. It forms part of the East Coast Wetlands, (Humber to the Thames) and at 3,318 hectares, the newly created LCCNNR is the ninth largest National Nature Reserve in the country. Find out more about LCCNNR here.

Planning Solutions Consulting was commissioned to work with Natural England to carry out a site review and detailed market assessment to help identify appropriate opportunities to enhance the visitor experience.
