The Cut Visitor Centre – revenue generation assessment

Visitor centre income generationThe Cut Visitor Centre – revenue generation assessment

Client: Shropshire Wildlife Trust

PSC was commissioned by Shropshire Wildlife Trust to identify and evaluate opportunities to generate unrestricted earned income within The Cut Visitor Centre in Shrewsbury, which also incorporates the headquarters function of Shropshire Wildlife Trust. This visitor centre includes a reception area, retail space, wildlife garden and a small children’s play area with a mud kitchen and sensory play experience. Alongside this a number of meetings rooms are available for hire. Our work included engagement with key staff, an analysis of the operation of the visitor centre, an analysis of the market place and a review of different case examples. The research was drawn together and a range of income generating opportunities were identified and evaluated. As part of the project, reference was also extended to identifying opportunities linked to enhancing public engagement at the visitor centre.
