Visitor Accommodation Feasibility Study, Lepe Country Park

country-park-business-planningClient: Hampshire County Council

Working with Hampshire County Council we assessed the opportunity to introduce tourist related accommodation within Lepe Country Park to help attract additional visitors and increase income.  We carried out a detailed study which included: site assessment; a market review of tourism trends in Hampshire with a focus on short breaks in the self-catering sector; benchmarking – a detailed review of comparable operations as case example, consultation with key stakeholders; an options appraisal to identify the preferred development route and a financial appraisal with capital expenditure. Our work lead to identifying the constraints and opportunities facing Lepe Country Park in respect of potential accommodation uses, balancing the needs of multiple landowners and taking into account the environmental impact of the project.   We identified the preferred development scenario and established the main financial parameters for the respective accommodation product types.  Find out more about Lepe Country Park.
