Vision and Destination Development Action Plan North Wales

Client: Tourism Partnership North Wales
The Tourism Partnership North Wales commissioned Planning Solutions Consulting to prepare a new Vision and Action Plan for the outdoor sector in North Wales. North Wales is internationally recognised for providing excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation, with a strong activity ‘offer’ based on its outstanding environmental assets and range of activities. However, partners recognised a lack of co-ordination and connection across the broad policy and programme agenda associated with the outdoor sector.

Our work included consulting with a range of stakeholders across the outdoor sector, assessing the activity tourism and outdoor recreation product in North Wales, reviewing and assessing the outdoor activity sector market, and preparing a vision and action plan for the sector in North Wales. We also advised on the structure and function of a strategy forum and action partnership to drive the plan forward.
