Client: Denbighshire County Council
Planning Solutions Consulting Limited was commissioned to produce a feasibility study to assess the viability of merging Rhyl Tourist Information Centre and Rhyl Museum into a joined-up offer within Rhyl.

Our work included carrying out a review of the current operation of the tourist information centre, a consultation exercise with key stakeholders within Rhyl and Denbighshire County Council, an analysis of the local and tourism marketplace and a benchmarking exercise of TICs across the UK. Seven future options for the tourist information centre were identified and a weighting scoring matrix was used to analyse the individual options. For the lead option a supporting commentary was provided in terms of financial, operational and funding considerations. The key next steps were also identified.
