Working with Natural Resources Wales, we were commissioned to carry out an initial options appraisal to identify the potential to introduce low impact, sustainable tourist accommodation at a site within their forest estate. Developing a longlist of tourist accommodation uses, we then used a weighted scoring matrix to assess their suitability. The objective was to increase year-round usage of the forest and support the development of a sustainable visitor experience.
