The Gwent Levels are an area in Monmouthshire and Newport which are environmentally, historically and archeologically unique in Wales with multiple statutory protections of the landscape. PSC has been commissioned by Newport City Council and Monmouthshire County Council to carry out a programme of research to identify potential opportunities for low impact tourism accommodation that would be sympathetic to the protected landscape of the Gwent Levels but meet the demand for accommodation for visitors and boost the local economy through tourism.
