Planning Solutions Consulting is a specialist visitor experience and tourism consultancy. We have worked with a range of clients from Severn Trent through to South West Water, Portsmouth Water and the Markerstudy Group at reservoirs assessing opportunities to develop visitor, leisure and tourism products – from visitor centres through to cafes, visitor accommodation, mountain biking and watersports. Our work is usually focussed on the areas below:

• Carrying out market assessments and option appraisals to identify preferred development scenarios for proposed reservoirs
• Reviewing existing operations to identify and evaluate opportunities for enhancing the visitor experience or leisure offer to increase visitor numbers and earned revenue
• Preparing the supporting business case to test the financial viability of the development scheme to help secure development funding

We have also worked on a number of watersports and activity tourism projects at sites such as Stanley Park in Blackpool through to Dinton Pastures Activity centre, near Wokingham, two residential activity centres in Gower – Tŷ Rhossili and Tŷ Borfa, Calshot Activities Centre, Hampshire and Bedgebury Forest in Kent.

Our sister company, Planning Solutions Limited, has invested in and manages a number of visitor experiences. These include the Cotswold Beach and Country Park, a watersports activity destination, CONKERS a 120-acre woodland experience with two visitor centres in the National Forest, the National Brewery Centre (formerly the Bass Museum), in Burton upon Trent, Kent Life – a heritage farm park in Maidstone along with three branded high ropes experiences.
