Visitor accommodation:

The Edwardian Manchester hotel has been added to Radisson collection of hotels portfolio after a £12 million renovation of Grade II-listed Free Trade Hall venue.

Visit England releases information on new accommodation projects within England. There’s lots of other information there too…

UK inbound visitor numbers down due to Brexit, however many are making the most of cheaper hotel prices and increased flights.

Activity and Adventure tourism:

Visit Britain releases top 10 activities along England’s coast path.

Tree top Adventure Go Ape has won the title of UK best attraction by the UK School Travel Awards.

National Heritage Lottery Fund:

British rapper and TV star Big Narstie launches hundreds of free offers for National Lottery players at 600 of the UK’s historic places as a thank you for purchasing tickets.

Aberdeen Art Gallery has reopened and is able to display more pieces after National Heritage Lottery funding of £10 million.

The London science museum opens world’s largest medical galleries after funding of nearly £34 million for the museum from the National Heritage Lottery fund.

Project news

Planning Solutions Consulting has been commissioned by Cadwyn Clwyd, in partnership with Park in the Past Community Interest Company to carry out a feasibility study to identify and evaluate options to develop the lake within the Park In the Park.

This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
