We carried out an interpretation audit on behalf of the South Downs National Park Authority. Our work focussed on assessing the existing and potential interpretation resources across the landscape and evaluating how well it provokes interest, reveals new information and relates to specific audiences.

The South Downs has a rich heritage in terms of historic settlements (with many hillforts and burial mounds) as well as literary, natural landscape and geological interest which have all contributed to shaping the landscape and its communities. The audit feeds into a wider visitor strategy for the National Park. Find out more about the South Downs National Park.
