Working for a London Borough Council Planning Solutions Consulting were commissioned to carry out a market assessment and options appraisal for a popular park located within the Green Belt. A site review was carried out to identify the key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats associated with the park (from visitor experience and operational perspectives). A market assessment helped to identify trends in the leisure sector and this was coupled with a demographic analysis of the residential population living within specific drivetime contours of the park.  A longlist of appropriate uses were identified and evaluated using a weighted scoring matrix to identify future development options.
