Planning Solutions Consulting has worked on a wide range of projects at historic houses. We carry out market assessments, operational reviews and feasibility studies alongside preparing visitor management plans and revenue generation strategies. We also prepare supporting business plans to secure capital funding. There is often a focus on uses related to tourism, hospitality, leisure and recreation.
Some of the projects we have worked on at historic houses and estate include:
Forty Hall, a Grade I listed Jacobean manor house managed by Enfield Council – we were commissioned to review the current business model to identify and evaluate the revenue generation opportunities to help building a resilient offer.
-Llancaiach Fawr Manor is a Grade I listed manor house – we were commissioned to carry out a feasibility study to assess the viability of introduction visitor accommodation within the grounds of the manor house.
-Golden Grove – working in a multi-disciplinary we were commissioned to carry out a feasibility study to identify and evaluate opportunities to take forward the restoration of both the mansion house and the stable block are Grade II* listed
-We were commissioned by the landowner to assess future options for a historic house in the South of England with a focus on tourist accommodation uses.
-Rempstone Estate – we carried out a feasibility to introduce 22 luxury lodges within the grounds.
-Working with the Elan Valley Trust, we carried out a feasibility study to assess future visitor accommodation uses of Cwm Clyd Farmstead, which currently offers a bunkhouse style of accommodation
