Glamping consultancy feasibility study

We were commissioned by a client to carry out a feasibility to assess the opportunity to develop a glamping offer at a site in the north east of England.

The work included an assessment of the development site, an analysis of the marketplace including the residential population living within the two-hour drivetime catchment of the site, a review of the tourism market with a focus on the volume and value of tourism stays and wider trends in the tourism sector which could impact on the project. The competitive landscape was also analysed to identify the provision of different accommodation types within the study area and a market SWOT analysis was prepared. A range of different glamping accommodation formats were reviewed including shepherd’s huts and pods along with a standalone self-catering unit.
