Client: Gladstone’s Library
Gladstone’s Library is a Garde I listed residential library located in Hawarden, Flintshire. Gladstone’s Library is the only residential library in the UK. The library incorporates the Reading Rooms, with a nationally important collection, an archive alongside a chapel, meeting rooms, Food For Thought (a successful café), 26 individually appointed bedrooms and attractive external gardens. An annual programme of events, courses and talks are delivered alongside successful outreach, learning and engagement activities.

Planning Solutions Consulting has been commissioned to work with the Warden and SMT, thanks to support from the Heritage Fund, to identify and evaluate options to help build the financial resilience of Gladstone’s Library.
