We have worked with Destination Management Organisations and other clients to develop sustainable destination management plans, wider tourism development strategies and economic feasibility studies to support the development of coastal, rural and city-based tourist destinations.

Tourism destination development planning projects include advising Cumbria Tourism on their adventure and activity tourism product through to working with Wealden District Council to develop their wine tourism product and Thanet District Council to prepare a visitor accommodation strategy.

Unlike many consultancies, Planning Solutions Consulting has hands-on experience of investing in, developing and managing a range of tourism businesses through our sister company, Planning Solutions Limited. Planning Solutions Limited manages visitor attractions, a microbrewery and a coastal resort hotel. This ensures that our development and destination planning advice is reinforced through this hands-on practical experience, which also helps when consulting with tourism businesses as part of the destination development process. It also helps to bring a commercial realism to our work.
