Country Park Tourist Accommodation Feasibility Study

Country Park Tourist Accommodation Feasibility Study

Commercial Income Generation Country ParkClient: Hampshire County Council
We evaluated the potential for new tourist accommodation across four of the county’s country parks: Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Lepe Country Park, River Hamble Country Park and Staunton Country Park, with a focus on increasing visitor numbers and income generation potential. We delivered a comprehensive feasibility study covering:

  • Site assessment of each country park’s suitability for accommodation development
  • Market research into Hampshire tourism trends, with particular focus on short-break demand in the self-catering sector
  • Benchmarking against comparable accommodation operations to identify realistic case examples
  • Stakeholder consultation with key partners and landowners
  • Options appraisal to define the most viable development route for each site
  • Financial appraisal, including capital expenditure projections

This work helped us map the specific constraints and opportunities at each country park in relation to accommodation development.  The result was a clear, preferred development option for each site, supported by financial model.  Find out more about other country park projects we have worked on.
