Retail feasibility study, Moors Valley Country Park and Forest

Retail visitor attraction feasibilityClient: East Dorset District Council

Moors Valley County Park and Forest is one of the most popular country parks, generating over 800,000 visits per annum. It offers a range of services and activities for visitors. These include a Go Ape aerial adventure, Segway operation, forest walks, mountain biking trails, a train, play, education programmes, a calendar of events, a visitor centre with a significant catering offer and retail offer.

Our work focused on carrying out an options review and feasibility study for the retail offer within the visitor centre. The work included consulting with stakeholders, developing and assessing future usage scenarios to enhance income generation and the visitor experience and identifying the potential financial and operational implications in respect of the country park’s retail offer.
