Cefn Coed Colliery Museum funding success, September 2019
Heritge masterplan
Cefn Coed Colliery Museum

Cefn Coed Colliery Museum will receive £1.8m of funding from the Valleys Taskforce in addition to more than £1.5m which has already been committed by Welsh Government for the repair of the headgear.

This is part of more than £6.6 million for the Valleys Regional Park as one of eleven heritage sites named as Discovery Gateways.  The funds will enable the development of a network of exemplar sites in the Regional Park which will draw on and maximise the cultural, industrial and environmental heritage of the western valleys.

We worked with the team at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council to prepare the supporting visitor attraction masterplan.
