The Cambridge Science Centre (CSC) aims to inspire broader public participation in all STEM topics and to improve public accessibility to current research. The CSC achieves this through hands-on workshops, school visits, pop-up science centres, evening programming for adults and supporting online content. The CSC mission is to provide positive engagements with STEM for young people and others in Cambridge and the wider East of England area, leading to raised aspirations and improved opportunities. Planning Solutions Consulting was commissioned to work with the senior management team to carry out a market analysis to support the ongoing transformation of CSC. Our analysis considered key trends within the green skills and education sectors, the wider visitor experience and tourism market alongside an analysis of the residential population living within specific drivetime catchments of Cambridge.
