We carried out visitor and community research to produce an Audience Development Plan for Rainham, Wellington and Aveley Marshes RSPB Nature Reserve for a Heritage Lottery Grant Application. This represented one the RSPB’s first urban nature reserves. The study included an analysis of current audiences, analysis of the barriers to participation, research with a range of audiences, setting objectives for audience development with priority audiences and measurable targets and developing an action plan. Rainham Marshes generates over 40,000 visits per annum. Find out more about the reserve.
