Vanessa is responsible for the management of the heritage collection at the National Brewery Centre, which incorporates a number of galleries, the historic archive exhibitions and heritage vehicles. She is also responsible for the development of volunteer recruitment and retention programmes.

Vanessa previously worked as a volunteer at the former Coors Visitor Centre. She has also managed Erasmus Darwin House in Lichfield, where her team successfully applied for Museum Accreditation.
