Touring Caravan feasibility study, Leicestershire

Client: Leicestershire County Council
Working for Leicestershire County Council we carried out a feasibility study on behalf to assess the potential of introducing a touring caravan site within the grounds of a leading visitor attraction in the County. Our work included a site assessment, reviewing planning considerations, access and traffic movements, existing services and the relationship with the visitor attraction.  A detailed market review which focused on understanding national trends and regional trends in respect of the tourism market along with a review of the touring caravan sector and marketplace was also carried out.

As part of the feasibility study operational and financial considerations were assessed which identified the specific facility requirements.   We also set out key operational considerations and the level of indicative investment required.  Potential earnings and future management options for the business were also identified.
