Dan is a Senior Planning Consultant bringing with him over 35 years of planning experience. Dan is a former planning officer and has worked with Planning Solutions on a consultancy basis, as Senior Planning Consultant, since 2002.
Dan has extensive experience of working at senior level in town planning with urban and rural authorities at County, District and City levels of local government and is an expert witness for local plans, conservation, traffic engineering and highway matters. In the private sector, he has advised leading law firms on planning issues and also worked at the Manpower Services Commission / Community Task Force as Principal Staff Officer / Technical Project Manager. For three years, Dan was consultant planner at Gerald Shenstone & Partners, Architects and Building Surveyors to the Duke of Bedford’s Bloomsbury Estate and UCL; and for nine years was Planning Adviser to the Chichester City Council’s Planning and Conservation Committee.
Dan’s particular expertise is in submitting planning applications; negotiating with local planning and service authorities and other professional disciplines, planning appeals, development feasibility studies and urban design surveys.
Dan has an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning Studies, he has attended a short course at the Universitie de Montpellier to study regional planning in France and contemporary Mediterranean architecture and has a Certificate (HND) in Land Surveying
