Before becoming a consultant, strategic marketer Sheona Southern was Director of Marketing for Cumbria Tourism and has significant experience advising on destination and product development as well as developing marketing communications strategies and delivering marketing campaigns. She has particular (award-winning) expertise in digital marketing - including web, social media and mobile marketing.
Her experience at a senior level includes Head of Marketing (television, radio and digital) for the BBC’s six Northern regions and Communications Director for Teamtalk Media plc (now Skysports/365 Media Group) where she was responsible for marketing a range of sports and news websites and content feeds.
Sheona is MBA qualified (University of Western Australia) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is results-focused and adopts a holistic approach to ensure that marketing strategies are embedded at the heart of organisational plans.
