Working alongside Newidiem, the leading economic development consultancy in Wales, we were commissioned to carry out a market marina demand assessment to gauge the future demand for marina berths in Gwynedd, Conwy and Isle of Anglesey. The marina demand study involved an extensive consultation exercise with key stakeholders, an analysis of the drive-time and demographic data and an analysis of the latest trends within the leisure and tourism sectors with a particular focus on sailing and other watersports.

The work also considered the quality of immediate sailing waters, availability of local services, the proximity of North Wales to adjacent sailing destinations, identifying and assessing case examples of marina developments and assessing the local competition.
