Planning Solutions Consulting worked alongside The Tourism Company to prepare the HLF Business Plan for a Round 2 Heritage Lottery Fund application.   The business plan was used to secure over £2m in funding. The park includes traditional parkland, and the project has re-instated important heritage features such as the walled garden and kitchen garden. The project has delivered a new visitor centre which provides catering and meeting space alongside heritage interpretation and community uses. The external area includes natural play, various trails and cycling facilities. The park also acts as a hub for a wide range of community and entertainment events and activities.

Catering was identified as a key income stream and we advised on the operational aspects, profile and scale of the cafe.

The HLF business plan set out the financial model for the park over 10 years including revenue generating activities with an important focus on events.
