Portsmouth Water are proposing to develop a Winter Storage Reservoir to the north of Havant. Havant Thicket Winter Storage Reservoir will provide a number of significant recreational and amenity facilities, which will attract visitors from the local communities of Havant and Portsmouth.

The recreational and amenity facilities are expected to include a visitor centre, comprising toilets and café, new paths for walking, cycling and horse riding, a new wetland area with bird watching facilities, picnic areas, play features and woodland adventure trails.

Planning Solutions Consulting has been commissioned by Portsmouth Water to forecast future visitor numbers based on different development scenarios.
