Brockholes Wetland and Woodland Reserve

One of the projects we have been working on - the Brockholes Wetland and Woodland Reserve, which will be managed by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust has received £8 million of funding.  We have carried out a feasibility study and prepared a business plan for the project.

Working for St Modwen Properties we carried out a leisure and tourism options review for a 190 hectare site in the Midlands. The work focused on carrying out a strategic and market review to identify end leisure and tourism uses and the potential mix for the site.

Casino Opportunities

We assessed the market opportunities for introducing a ‘resort style casino’ in light of the Budd Review. As part of the study process we carried out a benchmarking exercise (using examples in Australia, South Africa and the USA), a market assessment, a detailed consultation exercise and examined operational issues.

Pier Parade, South Shields

PSCL were commissioned by South Tyneside Council to carry out a commercial review of the leisure options for the Pier Parade area in South Shields.

Work focused on carrying out a site review and appraisal of the area; identifying and reviewing the key commercial opportunities; carrying out an options appraisal; preparing a risk assessment and setting out the next steps.

Tree Top Walk UK

We have examined the potential to introduce a new concept visitor attraction, a tree top canopy walk, in the UK. The study included a site selection, bench-marking exercise, market assessment of the day visitor attraction and tourism markets in the UK, extensive consultation, financial modelling and development strategy.
