Wednesday, January 7th, 2009Figures from the Department of Tourism and Leisure (DTL) have highlighted that 20 conferences were held on the Isle of Man in the last year, a 20% rise on 2007. £200,000 has been spent, by DTL, on marketing the Isle of Man as a conference destination. It has been estimated that delegates have spent up to £5m on the island during visits.
