The action plan could see the industry deliver an additional £50bn in visitor spend and provide 225,000 new jobs in the next 10 years. The ten year plan provides a focus for the industry to work to wards to ensure England retains and grows in the competitive industry.
Tourism Development StrategyThursday, July 16th, 2009A new Tourism Development Strategy and Action Plan, designed to promote Londonderry and its surrounding attractions, has been made public by Derry City Council.   By promoting the distinctiveness of the region to overseas visitors, the domestic market and the Republic of Ireland, it is estimated that by 2010 the strategy could boost visitor numbers by 25% and visitor spending by 40%.
