Background
Planning Solutions Consulting Limited (PSCL) is a specialist research and development company working in the fields of tourism, recreation and leisure. Clients include English Partnerships, the British Council, Forestry Commission, the Land Restoration Trust, East Midlands Development Agency, Vinopolis, Rank Group, the Wales Tourist Board, the Rotch Group, Tourism South East, Warner Hotels, Welsh Development Agency and RSPB.
Our team has been responsible for developing a number of major new tourism concepts. One concept is the all weather year round forest holiday village product known as ‘Oasis Villages’ and each Village represents an investment in excess of £100 million. Others are included in more detail under ‘experience’ page.
Our sister company operates Conkers www.visitconkers.com, a £16 million visitor attraction in the Heart of the National Forest and the Savoy Holiday Village www.owners-cottages.co.uk. We work closely with our sister company and this ensures that strategic and analytical work is backed up by direct operational experience in the tourism and leisure market places.
PSCL was previously incorporated as an integral part of Planning Solutions but is now a separate limited company (as of September 2005). Planning Solutions itself was established in December 1995 following a management buyout from Rank Leisure where it was the research and development division within the holiday group. |
