Background

Planning Solutions Consulting Limited (PSCL) is a specialist research and development company working in the fields of tourism, recreation and leisure. Clients include Cumbria Tourism, Tourism South East, the Forestry Commission, the Land Restoration Trust, East Midlands Development Agency, Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Vinopolis, Rank Group, the former Wales Tourist Board, the Rotch Group, Warner Hotels, the former Welsh Development Agency and RSPB. Our team has been responsible for developing a number of major new tourism concepts. One concept is the all weather year round forest holiday village product known as ‘Oasis Villages’ and each Village represents an investment in excess of £100 million.  Others are included in more detail under ‘experience’ page.

Our sister company, Planning Solutions Limited, operates Conkers, a £16 million visitor attraction in the Heart of the National Forest and they are also re-opening the former Bass Museum as the National Brewery Centre in May 2010. Over 15 years of direct operational experience of managing successful tourism and leisure businesses helps to reinforce our consultancy work.

PSCL was previously incorporated as an integral part of Planning Solutions Limited but is now a separate limited company (as of September 2005). Planning Solutions Limited was established in December 1995 following a management buyout from Rank Leisure where it was the research and development division within the holiday group.
